Returns Information

SGS Engineering is pleased to offer a 30-Day Returns policy which extends beyond the standard 14-day return period mandated by the Consumer Contract Regulations by an additional 16 days for all consumer purchases. All business purchases are excluded from this policy, see our Terms & Conditions.

Your refund will be processed and credited back to the original paymentmethod, though it may take up to 14 working days to appear.

We strive to offer comprehensive information on our product pages to assist you in making an informed decision before making a purchase. Nevertheless, there remains the chance that the product may not meet your expectations, or you may have inadvertently chosen the incorrect size or had a change of heart.

Items returned solely due to preference should be in unopened packaging, and in a resaleable condition. When returning items of clothing all tags must be in place and unworn. SGS reserves the right to decline a refund or impose a fee for items returned without their original packaging, accessories, or manuals. Your statutory rights are not affected by our returns policy.

Refunds for promotional goods purchased under a promotional offer will be processed according to the terms of the promotional price. If you decide to change your mind after your goods have been dispatched, you will be responsible for covering the cost of returning the goods. Certain items are exempt from the 30-day return policy for unwanted items. We are unable to accept returns for items that have been cut or customized to your specifications (Bespoke Items).

We are really sorry, but SGS are unable to offer any exchanges for unwanted items.

While we exclusively stock top-quality items from our professional suppliers, there may be rare instances where an item arrives damaged due to courier damage.

Upon receiving your order, it is recommended that you thoroughly inspect both the package and the goods to ensure they are intact and complete before signing for receipt of delivery. In the event that the parcel appears to be damaged or incomplete, it is necessary to refuse delivery of the goods.

If you receive any damaged or faulty items, kindly notify SGS within 24 hours of receiving your order and provide any requested information (such as photographs) within the same timeframe. Failure to notify SGS within this timeframe may prevent an investigation from taking place with no final resolution being offered, therefore any goods purchased will be non-recoverable / non refundable and will not be re-dispatched.

Please ensure you have taken photos of the following before disposing of any packaging: • Internal packaging • External packaging • The label attached to the parcel. • The damage caused to the item(s)

These photos will need to be sent to us to enable us to initiate an investigation with the courier. Please be aware that the courier may directly contact you to provide a disclaimer in support of or acknowledgment of the claim.

If all of these conditions are met, we will be more than happy to offer you replacement parts, an exchange, or refund.

The product(s) must not be used until a resolution has been established. In the event of the product being used, SGS Engineering will not exchange or refund the product as the goods have been accepted in the condition received.

While we always strive to ensure the accurate delivery of your item(s), we acknowledge that mistakes can occur occasionally, as we are only human.

If you experience any issues, kindly notify SGS within 24 hours of receiving your order and provide any requested information (such as photographs) within the same timeframe.

Failure to notify SGS within this timeframe may prevent an investigation from taking place with no final resolution being offered, therefore any goods purchased will be non-recoverable / non refundable and will not be re-dispatched.

The product(s) must not be used until a resolution has been established. In the event of the product being used, SGS Engineering will be unable to exchange or refund the product as the goods have been accepted in the condition received.

Please be aware for missing items we may ask you to complete a disclaimer form and/or obtain a crime reference number.

If all of these conditions are met, we will be able to look to offer you a replacement, an exchange, or refund.

  • Under 30 Days - If you need to return any item(s) that you believe to be faulty, you may do so within 30 days of receiving the item. Please inform SGS and provide any requested information, such as photographs/videos, regarding the reported fault. If we fail to assist with the reported fault, SGS will arrange for the item(s) to be collected and returned for inspection. Upon inspection, if we determine that there is indeed a fault, we will proceed to either replace the item(s) or arrange for a full refund. If upon inspection the product is found to have been misused e.g. wrong fuel or fuel mixture has been used, we will not be able to accept your return.

  • Over 30 Days - If an item is faulty and you purchased it more than 30 days ago, it is our aim to get the problem put right as quickly as possible. Please see Our Warranty Page for more information

To achieve this we must have photographic evidence of the faulty part / damaged area, clearly highlighting the defect or by having the part returned to us at your own cost.

We aim to refund any amount due back to you within 14 working days from the day we receive the item(s) back.

Please allow up to 14 working days before contacting us.

If you have not received your refund within this timeframe, please contact us with your order and refund details (eg RMA number).

The total prices for goods and services displayed at the checkout include all applicable taxes, such as VAT, making it the total amount payable by the customer. We do not provide any VAT refunds to locations outside the UK.

You have the right as a consumer to cancel your order up to 7 days after the delivery date. You need to inform us using the form here. The item has to be returned at your cost and in all original packaging, unused and in pristine condition. Damages received by a courier delivery will be your responsibility, so please ensure you purchase suitable insurance and protection otherwise your cancellation cannot be accepted by SGS.
